Guelph Green Development Standards Public Engagement Session 2

April 24 at 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

We want you to share your thoughts on Green Development Standards for Guelph!

Green Development Standards are measures to help make buildings and community areas more sustainable. Some standards will be optional and some will be required.

Here are key potential benefits:

  • Energy savings
  • Better water management
  • Easier to get around without a vehicle
  • More biodiversity
  • More parks and green space
  • Lower carbon emissions
  • Better air quality
  • Improved resilience to climate change

We will look at best practices, local needs to help Guelph adapt to a changing climate, and input gathered from the community to inform the Green Development Standards.

We are kicking off the project and we want to hear from you!

We will be consulting with Indigenous Governments and talking with residents, businesses, developers, public institutions, and community groups over the coming months.

Join us at one of two online sessions on April 24, 2025:

  • 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
  • 6:30pm to 8:00 pm.

The purpose of these sessions is to:

  • explain the project
  • provide information on Green Development Standards
  • create a vision to guide the project

Each session will include a presentation, polls and opportunity for you to ask questions and provide input. The content and opportunities for input will be the same at each session.
